I'm trying to maintain composure. Three days to Seattle. Three days to new haircut. Three days til I get to spend an entire weekend hanging out with my son, and daughter-in-law. I have no clue what to pack. I have not started. I probably won't start til Thursday. Oy. I also discovered that my hotel check-in is later than I anticipated, and therefore, I need to see if they will allow me early check-in (I keep trying to type chicken ...?) or at least hold my bags. Otherwise, should be a fairly stress-free event, this solo traveling.
In other news, I heard the cat bang around very loudly in the laundry room this morning, before he rapidly charged into my office with something in his mouth. Then, I saw the tail.
EWWWWWWW!
All in all, not too traumatic, considering we have lived here for 17+ years, and this is only the second mouse we've ever seen moving. We have caught a few here and there in some traps, but nothing concerning. I just have to figure out from whence they are getting in.
I have lost all motivation to do things today. I don't know why. Probably just a self-protection mechanism - trying not to think about the upcoming trip, so I don't freak myself out. Procrastination - my strongest suit.
As for foods - I think I've got to put my big-girl pantaloons on and stop with the Factor meals, at least for a while. This doth mean, however, that I have got to do some meal prep, and planning, so that I don't put myself in a position to be lazy and slide off the wagon. Nope. I've got a few things I can make that are fine for lunches, and the beloved will need to help me with figuring out dinnerables. I don't mind cooking at all. I just have a hard time deciding WHAT to cook as I am usually not hungry by the time he gets home.
What does one eat on keto when they don't have prepared meals?
- Bacon
- Eggs
- Cheese
- Veggebles (the non-starchy kinds)
- Salad (also a veggeble)
- Meats
- Butter
- Salad (I make a gigantic salad spinner full - romaine, spring, red cabbage, shredded carrots) so it's ready to go
- Dump ranch - when I make it again, I'll share my version of the recipe I used originally)
- Sausage/egg casserole (fancy name would be frittata, I think? I am not fancy)
- Pulled pork (slow-cooker, all good)
- Keto bagels
