Not Looking California, Not Feeling Minneapolis - Days 42 through 44

All the Minnesota I can feel

This could be a longer one. Grab a snack or five. First off, I am ever so thankful, grateful, relieved, and overjoyed to be sitting back on the ground in Ohio! YAY! I survived my travel trip!

What a strange and trippy world we live in, when your expectations do not whatsoever match reality. I can't even begin to unravel everything I observed whilst flitting across the country. All I know is I had a beautiful time just getting to be with my son, being in his presence, and absorbing his energies. I miss him so much!  And my daughter-in-law, too!

I have also realized that, after yesterday's travelings, NOTHING in my current existence comes close to matching that stress, and therefore, I should take a more relaxed approach to life at my desk. It's all good. Oh, and I really, really, really missed my own keyboard. I am not a laptop-keyboard kind of woman. Nope. I am old-school, external, slightly-tilted-upward-keyboard woman.

I don't believe there has ever been a time, since the kids grew and flew the coop, that I have been SO VERY EXCITED to get home. If nothing else, the trip gave me a lot of perspective on life, love, and what truly makes me happy. For that alone, it was worth it.

Everything else is just the extraneous drama I created for myself from point A to point home.

So, as you can imagine, I flew caution and carb counting to the wind (and rain). Did I mention the rain? Did I mention how it rained every single day until yesterday, sitting in the airport waiting to board the flight to Minneapolis, and then this:

That's right - blue skies ...

Well, I thought this would be a longer one, but I lost my train of thought, so I'll just continue tomorrow ...
