On a tangent, I wondered whatever happened to Richard Patrick, and of course, when I played the video just now, I got my answer:
Proof that nothing ever stays the same. I'm not sure how I feel. See, this is why I don't look up my past favorites. I prefer to live in my bubble of ignorance-lined bliss and pretend like everything is still the same.
Keeping with the "Welcome" theme, of course, you can't ever go wrong with this oldie but greatie! Of course, I know Floyd has changed. Nothing's felt the same since Ozzy took his leave of the planet. I mean, THIS means that all the greats will be departing sooner rather than later - Pacino, DeNiro, Walken, Tim Curry, the Floyd members, the Kiss members. What the fuck?
At what point in life does time start rolling downhill so fast that you can't even see it anymore?
There is some definitive truth to the saying: You'll never step in the same river twice (heavily paraphrased for my lazy convenience).
This is why I am so very grateful that we are where we are now, and we get to see what we are seeing every single day. Even the cloudy days put on magnificent shows. I know it's still the honeymoon phase, but I will never cease to be amazed at the sheer differentness of the flora and fauna here.
I have to admit, I was downright OVER looking at corn and beans and the same woods day after day after day. I also have to admit, I don't believe I will ever tire of looking at the assorted mountain ranges here. They look different every day, all of them. North, south, east, west, all mountains, all the time, and they are my safe home. They make my heart overwhelmed.
I mean, take last night, par example. There was a big storm over the Catalinas, directly north:
No filter.
No filter. (See below for the filtered version)
No filter.
A vivid filter which more accurately displays how it looked to my eyes.
Definite filter to highlight just how magnificent it was.
Yes, filter.
There is zero filter on this one. This is precisely what the Eastern sky was showing.

In other news of less import, here's what I ingested yesterday:
Morning coffee with half and half
Diet Dr. Pepper (one bottle)
Copious amounts of water, some with Key lime juice, and a bit of stevia, others plain, and a major metric fuckton of chewy ice
A string cheese stick
Salad with Mexican-blend cheese, a couple tomates, some red onion, some Garlic Pepper crispy onions, and homemade ranch dressing
Buffalo chicken "dip" which I just eat with a fork. This time, I made it with a touch of Sriracha, and it did not disappoint!
Afternoon coffee with collagen powder, Vitamin D, stevia, heavy cream, and MCT oil
And for dinner, I made this:
Shirataki spaghetti (It's Skinny brand), half a garlic-bread-type chaffle, and the sauce was this:
Half a roll of ground sausage, maybe a tablespoon or two of red onion, and half a jar of Carbone Alfredo sauce.
Topped with parmesan sprinkle cheese.
I ate half, and the rest I will probably have for lunch today, or dinner again. We shall see.
I'm off to embrace the shifts of my upcoming significant transformation and get to work.
Happy Thursday!
