Bobcats, Rain, and the Cost of Being Happy

We actually had actual rain last night and it was magnificent! There are no filters on the image above, just my camera making it look way different than how it truly appeared. The orange clouds were a brilliant, sunlit shade of white, with some pinkish clouds. This is what the camera thought it meant. Sigh.

Proof there was rain. This was the first time I used the macro setting on my camera. I have no earthly clue where the leaf came from as we do not have any trees with leaves in the general vicinity.

In other news, My Beloved saw a bobcat in the alley this morning. Confirming my suspicions that they are hanging around in the wash. I could swear I heard a kitten bleating/crying the other morning. This one today must've been the mother.

In other OTHER news, yesterday wasn't a tremendous day, but I did get a lot of work done. In reflecting on our mistakes, it's clear we got completely FUCKED the fuck over on our backyard "hardscaping" project. It's an expensive lesson - mainly, do your research, and then do some more, and do NOT let your emotions or empathy make the decisions. Also, have a plan and DEFINED TERMS in place BEFORE you ever let someone set foot on your property to begin work.

That's all I'm gonna say about that because it's just something that pisses me off to think about, and I wish to move forward, and so we are. Things will be corrected, and we will get things situated.

I don't have a lot to say today, so I'll just leave these here:
